1. Information Ramekin handles

Recipe and import content

Ramekin lets you save and edit recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, timing, notes, ratings, source links, images, screenshots, pasted text, and evidence extracted from videos. This is content you choose to provide to the app.

Purchase information

Purchases are processed by Apple. Ramekin receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, restore purchases, and help prevent abuse. We do not receive your full payment-card information.

Diagnostics and analytics

If you explicitly enable import analytics, Ramekin may collect limited information about app interactions, such as import type, success or failure, and queue actions. Recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, private notes, and raw imported content are not included in analytics events. Analytics is disabled unless you opt in and can be disabled in Settings.

2. Information stored on your device and in iCloud

Your recipe library is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, recipe data is also stored in your private Apple iCloud account using CloudKit so it can sync between your devices. Apple processes that information under its own privacy terms. Ramekin does not operate a public recipe database or make your library visible to other users.

3. Optional AI cleanup

AI cleanup is optional and requires both paid access and your consent. Before submission, Ramekin shows the text that will be sent. If you continue, the displayed recipe text and limited technical information needed to verify entitlement and protect the service are sent to Ramekin's Cloudflare-hosted cleanup service and its AI service providers to generate a structured suggestion.

Ramekin does not intentionally log recipe content in its cleanup service. Service providers may process request data as Ramekin's processors to provide and secure the service. You should review all AI-generated suggestions for accuracy before applying or using them.

4. Device permissions

Ramekin requests access only when you use a related feature:

• Photos or selected media, to import a screenshot, photo, or video you choose.
• Speech recognition, to create transcript evidence from a video you choose.
• Reminders, to add selected ingredients to a reminders list you choose.
• iCloud, to sync your library when you enable sync.

You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Service providers

Ramekin relies on service providers for limited, specific purposes:

• Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, iCloud, and platform services.
• Cloudflare for hosting and protecting the optional AI cleanup service.
• AI infrastructure providers for optional cleanup requests you approve.
• PostHog for product analytics only when you opt in.

These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal information or recipe content.

6. Retention and deletion

Local recipe content remains until you delete individual items, use Ramekin's local-data deletion control, or remove the app. Content synced to iCloud is subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention practices. Limited service, security, transaction, or aggregated analytics records may be retained as reasonably necessary to operate the service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Ramekin includes controls to export your recipe data and delete local data. You may also contact us with a privacy request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections, scoped service access, entitlement verification, and abuse controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Children

Ramekin is a general-audience recipe utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly operate public profiles, messaging, or behavioral advertising directed to children.

9. International users

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ramekin changes. We will revise the effective date above and provide additional notice when required by law.
