Terms of Use

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Ramekin, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Ramekin. If you are not legally able to agree on your own behalf, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

2. What Ramekin provides

Ramekin helps you capture, structure, organize, and use recipes from content you provide or choose to import. Extraction, optical character recognition, transcription, and AI-generated cleanup may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing recipes, ingredients, quantities, timing, temperatures, allergen information, and food-safety guidance before relying on them.

3. Your content and source material

You retain your rights in content you create. You grant Ramekin a limited license to process your content only as reasonably necessary to provide features you request, such as local storage, iCloud sync, export, or optional AI cleanup.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to save, copy, process, and share content you provide. Ramekin's preservation of a source link or extraction of recipe information does not transfer ownership of third-party content to you or to Ramekin. Respect creator rights and do not use Ramekin to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Ramekin for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing activity.
• Attempt to bypass subscription, entitlement, security, or usage controls.
• Interfere with or overload Ramekin's services or another user's access.
• Reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use automated means to access services in a manner not provided by Ramekin.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Paid features may be offered through auto-renewable subscriptions or other in-app purchases processed by Apple. The price, billing period, and any trial terms are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple subscription settings.

Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund decisions are handled by Apple under its terms. If you cancel, paid access generally continues through the end of the current billing period. Deleting Ramekin does not cancel a subscription.

6. Third-party services

Ramekin may interact with Apple services, websites you choose to import from, analytics providers, cloud infrastructure, and AI service providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable. Ramekin is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to third-party changes, or improve Ramekin. We will provide notice when reasonably practicable if a material change significantly affects a paid service.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Ramekin is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Ramekin does not provide medical, dietary, nutritional, or professional food-safety advice. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ramekin and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Ramekin during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Ramekin at any time. We may limit access to online services if you materially violate these terms, threaten the service or other users, or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
